    The Analyst I/Budget Area is an individual contributor involved in Area/Division Accounting and Budget Analysis.


    • Prepare and maintain department or division operating and capital budgets and supporting information in compliance with prescribed policies and procedures
    • Conduct complex financial analysis and prepare reports
    • Analyze and interpret budget variances
    • Coordinate and liaison with government agencies for capital recovery
    • Prepare responses to data requests for internal and external parties
    • Coordinate and liaison with Corporate Budget Department on all budget related issues including system improvements and security, communications, troubleshooting, etc.
    • Provide guidance to operating units to develop annual budgets
    • Provide division or department training and support in budget systems, budget reports and budgeting process
    • Conduct accounting and financial work assignments in compliance with all corporate standard practices as well as contractual and legal requirements (e.g., contract terms, tariff provisions, state laws, Internal Revenue Service regulations, Sarbanes Oxley requirements, U.S. Treasury, banking institutions, etc.)
    • Assist with daily accounts payable and month-end processes
    • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned
    • Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job

    Minimum Qualifications

    This position requires one to three years of relevant work experience plus a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential job responsibilities.

    Salary Details

    $53,519 - $66,899
