    The Analyst II/SR Analyst in External Financial Reporting participates in the administration of the Company’s Sarbanes-Oxley (“SOX”) compliance program, which includes providing advice  and training to departments regarding the design and documentation of internal control over financial reporting; conducting and documenting periodic risk assessments; facilitating quarterly SOX reviews and sub-certifications supportive of executive management’s Section 302 certifications; collaborating with process owners to formalize evaluations of changes in internal control; reviewing and providing advice on business process owner’s response and action plan for SOX-related audit deficiencies; coordinating with internal and external auditors to monitor and report on the SOX audit status, activities, and issues; and performing other relevant analysis and duties.


    Depending on the candidate’s knowledge and experience in the accounting, auditing, and/or SOX administration field, the successful candidate will have varying levels of responsibility for the following activities:


    • Facilitate compliance with Section 404 of the SOX Act, including providing advice to departments and participating in the documentation of the Company’s internal control over financial reporting; and carry out the SOX sub-certification process and assessment of internal control, which support the SEC certifications of the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer.
    • Administer the software application used to house the Company’s internal control documentation and carry out the SOX sub-certification process.
    • Coordinate and communicate with all levels of management including officers and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors on SOX-related issues.
    • Conduct and document detailed accounting and financial research, analysis, and work assignments in compliance with all corporate standard practices as well as contractual and legal requirements and regulations.
    • Develop SOX-related data requests to solicit information from internal parties.
    • Develop responses to data requests from regulatory commissions and external parties.
    • Meet with appropriate parties, gather applicable data, perform sometimes complex analyses, and compose memos and other supporting documentation that relays the analysis and conclusions of management’s position on SOX-related issues.
    • Review (and provide advice on) business process owner responses to internal control findings.
    • Administer to, and review the results of, management’s system-generated report testing efforts.
    • Provide clear, concise, and effective verbal and written communication and documentation.
    • Perform other related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree with a major emphasis in accounting is required.  This position requires the demonstration of a high level of analytical problem-solving ability, knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board auditing standards, and an ability to perform under strict time constraints. In addition, this position requires technical writing ability.


    Analyst II/Accounting

    This level requires three to five years of combined experience in accounting, internal or external auditing, and/or SOX administration plus a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university.  


    SR Analyst/Accounting

    This level requires four to six years of combined experience in accounting, internal or external auditing, and/or SOX administration plus a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university, and demonstration of an advanced level of technical writing ability.



    Professional certification such as: CPA, CIA, or CISA

    $71,798 - $89,747
