  • Position Information

    The Business Design Analyst (BDA) is primarily responsible for gathering systems information, performing analysis, evaluating objectives, and developing business and application requirements related to Customer Engagement supported systems and company sponsored projects. The BDA has a solid understanding of UX/UI best practices and works closely with project managers, internal stakeholders, external IT vendors, design agencies, and consultants to convert business objectives into blueprints for an optimal user experience on various communication channels.


    • Work closely with project managers, business stakeholders and technical teams to help successfully implement projects related to internal and external technology applications including content management systems, CRM as well as enterprise communications and customer engagement platforms.
    • Consult with key decision makers to translate business needs and objectives into clearly documented and defined requirements for the business content and development teams. This may include creating wireframes, mock ups, layouts and user flows related to application enhancements to create functionality and features that deliver exceptional user experiences.
    • Working with members of the Creative, technical and digital teams, translate needs assessments from business users into actual designs, user flows and experimental concepts.
    • Initiate, formulate, advise, and present recommendations to senior management, project committees, and governance groups.
    • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and vice-versa – distill granular and detailed level information to create executive high-level summaries.
    • Act as the liaison between the business owners, technology teams, support teams, external vendors, and various levels of management. Coordinate SMEs for assigned activities and escalate issues when needed.
    • Assist in transforming raw or technical data into meaningful analytics and insights, measuring performance behind each effort. Perform data analysis to understand customer behavior, ensuring consistent and optimal user experiences across the omnichannel.
    • Establish functional and business requirements through interviews, surveys, workflow charts, diagrams, user stories and specifications.
    • Develop ongoing performance reporting for management and distribute reports as needed, with recommendations for improvement. Report analytical results and recommendations in written, verbal and presentation form.
    • Develop predictive and statistical models to analyze data, assist in decision making, or improve business processes.
    • Provide key insights to critical business challenges and assess new opportunities by conducting design iterations based on usability & functional testing during different phases of development.
    • Plan, facilitate and coordinate activities of assigned tasks within projects to ensure that business requirements remain in scope of assignment and are completed within prescribed timelines.
    • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    This position requires 4-6 years of relevant work experience and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or a related field from an accredited university.


    • Other required skills:Leadership skills that include experience in managing, facilitating, developing, planning, directing, controlling and organizing projects and people.
    • Ability to motivate project teams.
    • Organize and manage time effectively while handling multiple priorities.
    • Ability to handle multiple diverse tasks and deliverables simultaneously while maintaining flexibility within stressful environments.
    • Possess strong business acumen with ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.



    Business Analyst Professional certification, proficiency in Microsoft Project and Visio or equivalent; experience with screen design tools and Marketing experience.


    Salary Details

    Salary Range: $68,548 - $85,685
